As long as we have wine, Thanksgiving will be fine!
Of course we will enjoy wine with our Thanksgiving dinner, but why not spice up your traditional recipes with a splash of wine as well! In addition to your tried and true staples, makeover side dishes with your favorite wines from The Winery at Seven Springs Farm. Don’t waste what is left in the bottle after you finish cooking, pair the same wine with your meal to intensify the pairing.
Mashed Potatoes with Wine and Goat Cheese – Farmhouse White
Mashed potatoes and gravy is my favorite Thanksgiving staple. It doesn’t get much better…unless you add wine, goat cheese and thyme! Use our Farmhouse White, a Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay blend to makeover this dish into something spectacular.

Wine Braised Rainbow Carrots with Sage – Moscato
This recipe is as pretty as it is delicious. We eat with our eyes first! Forget those boring cooked carrots and instead choose rainbow carrots braised in wine and sage. Swap the dry, white wine with a Moscato from The Winery at Seven Springs Farm to add a little sweetness and pair with the earthiness of the carrots.
Red Wine and Garlic Mushrooms – Heritage Red
Mushrooms are the perfect way to enjoy butter, garlic and, of course, wine. This easy side dish is a great addition to your Thanksgiving table. The Winery at Seven Springs Farm’s Heritage Red is made with spicy Barbera grapes that will complement this recipe perfectly.
Wine and Shallot Brussels Sprouts – Riesling
Brussels sprouts…a vegetable that may not be appreciated by everyone, but add the right seasonings and a little wine and you can change the mind of any non-believer. Pan sear the Brussels sprouts and toss with our Riesling wine to create a new holiday favorite.
